Our yard is teeny-tiny, and I don't have much of a green thumb. But I do have these:
Two large, bountiful hydrangea bushes, planted by some previous owners, that offer up an explosion of purple-y blue blooms every June.
That means that this time of year, I have magazine-worthy floral displays fresh from my yard. Just pop out the door, snip some blooms, pop them into an old florists' vase, and enjoy:
Also, they have amazing staying power. I cut these a week ago, and they're still completely fresh:
Long live summer.
